Duty Supervisor

The role is classified at Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award 2010 (SCHADS) Level 5 and 0.8-1.0fte.

About the Role
The Duty Supervisor holds an integral role within the Skylight Service Delivery team, working under the direction of a Manager – Service Delivery and working closely with other team members to enhance the provision of quality services and contribute to organisational improvements.
The Duty Supervisor is responsible for providing high quality support to Support Workers of Skylight across a range of Skylight sites services and locations.
About you
- A tertiary qualification, diploma or certificate relevant to the community services or mental health field, and/or extensive work experience in community or related services
- Knowledge and experience of practice excellence
- Management of staff with a proven ability to support staff and a team to develop and deliver support services to assist individuals to progress their journey of recovery and to meet program and service outcomes
- DHS Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Check
- Must have full COVID vaccination, as mandated by the South Australian Government Directive.

Community Worker
About the role
Skylight is recruiting a Community Worker to work within the Community Connections Program. The Community Worker will work closely with participants in a service delivery capacity to overall reduce their social isolation, connecting them to local services and programs of their interest, aligning with their identified goal.
In addition the Community Worker will liaise and network with linked and non- linked providers to further build their knowledge of local services available within the region, passing on this information to program linked participants. The Community Worker will be manage a caseload dependent on DHS driven targets as well as intended “positive outcomes” and goal achievement of the participant. DHS, online data entry platforms will be in regular use and a requisite to overall report on participant feedback and region specific needs.
The Community Worker will have a direct effect in the development phase of the Community Connections Program, shaping future program services within the region.
Requirements for Success
- Qualifications relevant to mental health and preferably group work facilitation e.g. Cert IV Mental Health, Education, Social Work or other, and/or knowledge and skills gained through work experience commensurate with group activity programs in community settings, and community mental health service
- Sound knowledge and awareness of mental illness (ideally psychosocial disability) and related comorbidities and the associated impact on individuals, carers and the community
- A deep understanding of strength based, trauma informed and goal orientated recovery from mental health challenges
- An understanding of the NDIS particularly regarding access

Community Mental Health Workers - Limestone Coast and Murraylands Regions
Skylight is looking to recruit two Community Mental Health Workers to support the service delivery of the Country Wellness Connection program.
The roles are classified as SACS Level 4, 0.8-1.0 fte and Maximum Term Contracts until June 30 2023 with one Community Mental Health Worker in each of the Murraylands and Limestone Coast regions.
Role Overview
Under the general direction of the Coordinator, the Community Mental Health Worker will deliver individual and group support and assist in the development and evaluation of high quality Skylight programs. This may include working closely with community partners organisations and key stakeholders in a range of locations particularly within regional towns, and also including Skylight sites, community centres , local community settings and within people’s homes. Your knowledge will assist in understanding service gaps of hard to reach vulnerable populations across the Limestone and Murraylands (one or other) regions, and supporting participants and the team with NDIS access.

Continuous Improvement Leader

Skylight Mental Health delivers a range of recovery oriented community mental health services by working alongside people experiencing mental illness, family and friends who care for them, and the broader general South Australian community. We are seeking to recruit a Continuous Improvement Leader to oversee a range of systems projects and initiatives.
About the Role
The Continuous Improvement Leader, reporting to the GM Corporate Services will help identify and lead key continuous improvement initiatives to support a strong Skylight into the future. The position will work on initiatives in both Corporate Service and Service Delivery areas with a focus on technological enablement. The Continuous Improvement Leader will draw on a range of business analyst/process improvement tools and extensive experience in project management to help problem-solve complex systems-level challenges that will deliver improved outcomes for participants and more efficient operations for Skylight. The role will provide leadership and direction to others on a project-by-project basis. The role will also provide a level of IT functional leadership and vendor management.
About You
You will bring your sophisticated and honed project management and continuous improvement skills to drive lasting and meaningful change within Skylight. You must be a self-motivated client-centric person with a proven track record in implementing and continuously improving technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for problem-solving in a team, the ability to see the larger business systems strategy while being willing to fine-tune/deep dive into the details.
- A tertiary qualification in IT/systems, business or organisational management or equivalent experience in leading IT/Technology projects for a small/medium size organisation
- Working knowledge and/or certification and experience in Project Management (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2)
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or certification and experience in Continuous Improvement Frameworks like Lean, Agile and Six Sigma
- Experience in a Salesforce Environment and familiarity with the National Disability Insurance Scheme an advantage
- Demonstrated relationship management skills, with the ability to build internal and external relationships to strengthen the organisation and build partnerships with staff, vendors and funding bodies
- Demonstrated experience to build and manage project teams, including leadership capacity to lead change initiatives
