Information & Referral

Freecall - 1800 985 944

Skylight can help connect you to information and services you need. From the moment you walk in the door or pick up the phone, we will welcome you. We will listen and discuss your needs. Many of our staff and volunteers have some understanding of what you are experiencing, in part because they’ve experienced mental illness or have cared for someone living with mental illness.

We want to hear your story and help you find the best supports for you, your family members, friends or carers. We can provide up-to-date and relevant information and if we don’t have it on hand, we will work with you to find it. We can link you to one of our individual or group support programs, or refer you to another organisation which best meets your needs.

You are able to refer if you:

  • are 16 years or over
  • are worrying or are having a hard time because of your mental health
  • identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
  • identify from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer and Questioning

A formal diagnosis of a mental illness is not required to be part of our programs.

Our community workers will meet with you about how your worries affect your life and then work out if we can help you.

MiNetworks information sheets are full of up-to-date information for people living with a mental illness, carers and the community. They are free to download and can be found here.

Skylight also has a well resourced library based at our Wayville office open to the public to browse through our range of journals, books, videos, DVDs and audio books. The library is accessible during opening hours - Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
